Ronaldo casts doubt over future
by Ben Blackmore, 16 May 2008
Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he cannot guarantee he will be a Manchester United player come the start of next season.
The Portuguese magician stated he is extremely happy at Old Trafford, but his ‘dream’ is to play in Spain, and Real Madrid are ready to make it happen.
Ronaldo was speaking after picking up the Football Writers’ Player of the Season gong, ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League final against Chelsea.
United’s 41-goal talisman insists he would be delighted to stay with The Red Devils next, but he could not guarantee that he would be there to help defend their league crown.

"I am feeling happy here and I am feeling calm here. But let us see what happens after the Champions League final,” Ronaldo told South American television station TV Aztec.
“I am feeling happy but in the future I don't know.
"I have said a million times that I would like to play there (Spain), but it is one thing to dream and quite another to understand the reality.
"I don't know the club (Real Madrid) at all. But I know they like the way I play and I know that other teams in Spain like my game as well. It is good to know that they like my game, but I am happy here."
